She Shed He Shed
This special ADU project, He Shed/ She Shed explores the minimal condition of urban life: the space between two objects. Conceived as two separate accessory structures connected by an exterior covered terrace, the project creates a simple urban condition in a rural landscape. Deployed on the edge of a terraced escarpment, the experience of individual to collective is activated by the placement of a single picture-window facing the distant natural rural landscape. The structures are composed of locally grown douglas fir cut and milled on site.
