We sample the skyline of the Nanshan Mountains and
Qianhai to sculpt our three-dimensional massing. The result is a variegated
forest of lifted towers stepped and shifted in all directions; optimized for
view, self-shading, and natural ventilation. We reimagine urban luxury as a
continuous horizontal and vertical garden in the city. These 3-dimensional
gardens are captured by an extensive topography of balconies and terraces.
WE CONNECT MOUNTAINS TO BAY, CITY TO SEA. BY DOING THIS, FOREST CITY WELCOMES URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE AND SPONGE CITY ON SITE.
We
redefine contemporary luxury by introducing intimacy, articulation, and
difference with every apartment type, which all benefit from four exterior
exposures, multiple corner rooms, and private lifts. We expand a 24-hour urban life by creating
lush gardens, courtyards, and alleyways that connect and filter the urban
infrastructure, while providing natural shading and passive cooling. In
contrast to conventional urban residential developments that proliferate with a
series of homogenous towers and podiums, are proposal sponsors communication
and connection while articulating intimacy and diversity at every scale. The
raised garden plinth distances visitors from the frenetic rhythms of urban
life.
