Transparency: On Nature and the Outdoors, a group exhibition of contemporary photography organized by Andrew Heid of NO ARCHITECTURE, opened at the Courtyard House in Aurora, Oregon on October 5, 2019 with a benefit reception for the Architecture Foundation of Oregon, and remained on view by appointment through August 2020. The exhibition brought together new and recent work by four West Coast artists — Alexandra Opie, Catherine Opie, Chelsea Mosher and Meghann Riepenhoff — using processes from stereoscopic tintypes to cyanotypes submerged beneath waves to question how photography shapes our understanding of place and nature. With support from Elise Jaffe + Jeffrey Brown, Crozier Fine Arts and Regen Projects.
